Shera Konen

Preplanning Consultant

I’m a Montana native who has always been passionate about working with people and helping however I can. Over the years, I’ve seen the heartache and confusion that can follow an unexpected death without any pre-planned arrangements. Those experiences stayed with me.

When I was offered the opportunity to become a pre-need counselor, it felt like a meaningful way to make a difference. I now help individuals and families take care of important decisions ahead of time—bringing peace of mind and easing future burdens. It’s a privilege to offer support, clarity, and compassion during life’s most challenging moments.

Nick Mulvaney

Funeral Ambassador

Nick Mulvaney hails from Helena, Montana, where he was born and raised. Nick has Butte roots as his mother was born and raised in here. When Nick’s wife, Bri, was offered the opportunity to move to and serve the Butte community at Axelson Funeral and Cremation Services, Nick couldn’t have agreed more about what a perfectly timed opportunity this was to end up in the greatest city on earth.

Shortly after their move to Butte from Helena, Nick began working at the Axelson and Longfellow to help on services and assist with other needs at the funeral home. He quickly realized what a rewarding profession it was to serve families when they experienced a death.

Nick has a deep love for soccer and sport spectating of any genre, considers himself a rockhound, and a music aficionado. He appreciates the colorful and charming history of Butte, loves golfing, playing board and card games with his wife, and building intricate Lego models in the winter months.

One of the most notable experiences he and Bri have had in Butte since their move here in July of 2019 was discovering that the building on Harrison Ave that they work out of is the same building that his late grandfather, Jim Matteucci, worked out of for many decades when it was Don’s Office Machines. When Nick and Bri made this discovery, they knew for certain that there was a divine hand in their migration to the Richest Hill on Earth and they haven’t looked back since.
