Violet "Snooky" Lazetich Obituary

On May 24, 2021, Snooky left this world to be with her Lord and Savior. She was met by her father and mother; beloved brother, Dewey Daicich; her niece, Danelle Daicich; and beloved companion, Kaisha.

 

Snooky was born in Butte Jan. 29, 1929, to Mike and Angela Daicich. She was the oldest of two children.

 

In 1934, Snooky entered kindergarten, speaking only Yugoslavian. She was a quick learner and eventually was moved a grade ahead. She graduated from Butte High School in 1947.

 

On May 15, 1949, she married Eli Lazetich. They divorced after 25 years of marriage.

 

She and Sylvia Smith, her best friend and sister-in-law, worked many years together in Sylvia's Beauty Shop.

 

Snooky enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved skiing, working in her yard, snowmobiling, boating, camping, and having a good old time with her friends.

 

In 1988, she moved to Helena and became a partner in the Cozy Motel. She ran the motel for many years before retiring and eventually returning to her beloved hometown of Butte.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Angela and Mike Daicich; beloved brother, Dewey Daicich; and her niece, Danelle Diaicich.

 

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Bob (Angie) King, Marilou (Harry)Verlanic, Pete (Margie) Smith, Sandra (Mal) Wattula, Pete (Cindy) Lazetich, Karen (Mike) Moses, Maria (Jim) Keplinger, Milana Lazetich (Mike), Schwarzkopf, Rosalie Butorovich, Linda (Bill) Larson, Marko Lucich, and Tom Dalton.

 

A big thank you to Christine and Debbie at Continental Gardens and the caregivers at Copper Ridge Nursing Home.

 

Snooky held dear to her heart many special friends, old and new.

 

Joan English, and Eileen and Bob Johnson showed many acts of love and kindness, taking her on rides, shopping, eating out, and medical appointments. A special thank you for bringing so much love and joy with your many visits. You will never know how you were loved and greatly appreciated.

 

Upon Snooky's instructions, there will be no services.
