Todd Silzly Obituary

Todd Richard Silzly passed away on May 24, 2019 at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula, at the age of 45, from complications of liver disease.

He was born on May 8, 1974 in Butte, MT to Richard and Rosemarie Silzly. Todd was raised in Opportunity with his sisters Terri and Traci and large extended farming family. He attended Beaver Dam Elementary, West Elementary, Anaconda Jr. & Sr. High School - graduating in 1992. He then graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology. Todd worked in several different areas in the Criminal Justice system and also, in Sociology before finally deciding to change careers to what he truly enjoyed which was hard and true physical labor.

On July 8, 2006, he married the love of his life Megan Gordon at St. Timothy's Chapel. They were then blessed with twin boys 7 years later, Mason and Cameron - they were delighted and what a proud daddy Todd was!!

Todd enjoyed family time and get togethers at Georgetown Lake, particularly snowmobiling and water sports. Todd and Megan loved to camp and 4-wheel with their boys as well as watching them get involved in various YMCA sports. Todd also was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working on many projects and could absolutely fix anything!!

Todd is survived by his wife, Megan, his 5 year old twin sons, Cameron and Mason, mother Rosemarie Silzly; sisters: Terri Austin & Traci and Tom Richards; mother and father-in-law, Doris & Bob Gordon; sisters-in-law Stacey and Buck Sterling, Melanie Miller (Barkley) and brother-in- law, Cory Gordon; nieces and nephews: Samuel, Sydnee, Sienna & Sadee Austin, Rylan and Emmarie Richards, Cassie Gordon, Sierra Miller & Barkley Flynn; aunts and uncles: Janet and Pat McLemore and Harold and Sharon Silzly; other extended family, Jim Kanduch (Midgie), Karen and Hank Scholz, Ed and Deb Kanduch, and Teresa and Russ Jones, as well as many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Silzly; grandparents, Millie Mathews, Lucille and Art Silzly.

Although his passing was too soon, his life and those he touched was full of fun, joy, and love. Words cannot describe the extent to which he will be missed.

Todd was an organ donor, so his organs will be of benefit to others.
