Sharon Batani Obituary

Mum passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born in Butte, MT, January 29, 1941 to Betty (Farren) and Andy Batani. She attended Girls Central and later a couple of semesters at Western. When she returned home from school in 1961 she met and married Bo Stanich, they had 2 sons Greg and Steve. After their divorce she went to work at KXLF and later for the Montana Power Company. In 1973 she married Joe Zderick. Then the tradition of epic birthday bashes began for Joe because Sharon loved to cook and entertain as well as dress for every occasion. When Sharon was divorced from Joe she discovered her love for cats (Andy and Gunner) and they became the special men in her life. Sharon retired from MPC and went to work at Nickle Annie’s but later found her dream job at Herberger’s! Along the way she also found sobriety and was extremely proud of those 33 years of her life and participated with AA regularly. Sharon also continued to host many parties and to take pride and joy in decorating for all of the holidays.

Sharon is survived by her sons Greg Stanich in Butte, Steve Stanich (Kimmie) in Anaconda, stepson Tom (Linda) Zderick in Helena. As well as her close friends Jessie Lance, Cari Lyn and Joni McCarthy, Lisa Shea, Jolene Faroni, Darlene Cameron and her best furry pal Riley.

A celebration of life and the spreading of her ashes will take place in the Spring at Homestake Lake as she requested, the place where her other furry family members rest.
