Perry Alvin Kindsvogel

On Tuesday, May 30, 2023, Peary sailed on his journey to heaven. Peary was born March 30, 1944, in Richland County, Montana, to Alvin & Evelyn (Bowman) Kindsvogel. Peary was the oldest of eight children.

Perry grew up in the Glendive, Montana area.  He completed the 8th grade and then headed off to work on the Railroads with one of his brothers. Peary lived in many places throughout Montana and North Dakota. 

Peary went to live in an AWARE home in Glendive, Montana in 2004. Peary moved to an AWARE home in Anaconda, Montana in 2018.  Peary made many friends along the way, including his special friend Kathy, whom had the pleasure of Peary’s company for 19 years and all of the staff members that took such great care of him. 

Peary enjoyed his music, especially listening to the “Eagles”.  Peary loved wearing his sunglasses, gloves and hats, especially on a bright sunny day while enjoying his “smoke”. Peary liked to joke with everyone, especially if he could get you with a “BOO” followed by “I gotcha!” or he would tell you “Smile! You’re on candid camera!”  Peary also enjoyed going for drives around the Anaconda area to see the beautiful scenery.

Peary is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin & Evelyn and his three brothers Larry, Keith & Roger. 

Peary is survived by his brother Elton & his wife Natalie Kindsvogel and his brother Bruce & his wife Christine Kindsvogel, his sister Colleen Kindsvogel and sister Shirley & her husband Tom Fugleberg. Peary is also survived by his close friends at the AWARE Sage home along with all of the staff members.

Memorial Services are to take place on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 in the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Oak St., Anaconda, MT, at 11 a.m. A one-hour viewing will take place before the Memorial Service, beginning at 10 a.m. Immediately following the services, a reception will be held at the Washoe Park Pavilion.  Peary’s remains will be laid to rest next to his mother, Evelyn, in Glendive Montana.
