Paul Schimming Obituary

Paul Schimming was born on July 12, 1945, the fourth of seven children born to Raymond and Florence (Percin) Schimming.

 

He attended St. Peter’s Grade School and graduated Anaconda Central High School in 1963 and joined the Navy on August 29, 1963. He retired after 20 years of proud service and returned home to Anaconda.

 

He worked numerous years at the New China Café. After returning home, he met the love of his life, Shannon Gallinger, and they raised five children together. Paul’s hobbies included cooking and playing pinochle and cribbage. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his kids and all of their friends. He was a proud member of the Anaconda AOH.

 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Florence, grandparents Frank and Angela, Matt Percin and Bill and Julia Schimming, his brothers Raymond, John and Matt, his sister Rita Lee and brother-in-law Tom Lee, his daughter Nicole Miranda and he is joining the love of his life of 24 years Shannon Schimming.

 

He is survived by his brother James and Paula Schimming, sister Lorraine Schimming Evans, sisters-in-law Roseanne Schimming and Linda Schimming, children Amanda Marry, Phillip Weist, Hollie (Shane) Petersen and Bennett (Kortney) Gallinger, his three granddaughters, six grandsons, three great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.  

 

Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
