Lynn Francisco Obituary

Mary Carolyn "Lynn" Francisco was born on August 7, l935, in Anaconda to parents W.D. "Bill" Martin and Marie A. (Murphy) Martin. She attended local schools and graduated from Anaconda Central High School in l953. She then attended Carroll College for one year and returned to Anaconda and her job at the Anaconda Credit Bureau.

On October 22, 1955, she married Bob Francisco (the marriage made in heaven). After living a year in Reno, Nevada where Bob was stationed in the Air Force, they returned to Anaconda, where they have spent their whole lives (58 years) together.

They raised eight children in Anaconda and Lynn was blessed to be able to stay at home with the kids until their youngest was in kindergarten. At that time, she went to work at the Dairy Queen, which they purchased along with partners, Gene and Noreen Vuckovich. In the off- season, she was the co-manager of Wraith Hill Ski Club and did the cooking for the hungry skiers. That job was a family affair, with everyone pitching in. A great time was had by all. When the Dairy Queen was sold, she went to work for the Ed McGreevey Insurance Company. She worked there until Bob announced they were going to purchase McIntyre's Clothing Store in 1979 which they ran until they retired in 1998.

She was a member of the Anaconda Catholic Community and a volunteer at Community Hospital of Anaconda for the last several years. She was also a member of the Anaconda Chamber of Commerce where she served as president from 1983 to 1984. Lynn received the Spark Plug Award which is presented by the Chamber to one of its outstanding Board members.

She is survived by her husband Bob, children Debbie (Jim) Trueax of Montana City, Mick (Ellie) Francisco, of Houston, Texas, Jodie (Mark) McDonald of Anaconda, Geri (Greg) Wyant of Anaconda, Berta (Doug) Linsted of Missoula, Steve (Julie) Francisco of Anaconda, Bill (Denise) Francisco of Anaconda and Leah Francisco of Butte. Lynn's family includes twenty-seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Brother and Sister-in-Law Bill and Gloria Martin of Lewisburg, West Virginia, Sister-in-Law Billie Martin of Vancouver, Washington, Sister-in-law Kathleen Francisco of Anaconda and Sister-in-Law Terrel Francisco of Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Marie Martin, brother Bob Martin, son Robert, grandsons Matt and Mark McDonald, and great-granddaughter Tyne Trueax.

The above was originally authored by Lynn Francisco in 2010 and updated by the family.

The Lord's angels carried Lynn home on August 12, 2013 after suffering a debilitating stroke.
