Lucille Mahle Obituary
Lucille Marie Mahle died peacefully at her daughter's home on May 31, 2015.
Lucille was born December 13, 1926 to Edward and Margaret (Finnegan) McCarthy. She attended Anaconda Parochial Schools and graduated in 1945.
After high school, she worked at Woolworth's Department Store. She then married Bud Clark in 1947 and they were married for 25 years until his death.
Lucille was a stay at home mom raising two daughters, Margy and Rosie. When she was 45 years old, she started work at Head Start where she was a teacher's aide for 22 years.
Lucille's life was defined by kids. She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. To the many kids at Head Start she was simply Ceil, the name her grandsons Chad and Shawn gave her when they were little. When her grandson Dusty was little, he made the comment that grandma was for kids. She was, they all loved her.
Another thing that defined Lucille was her generosity. There was never anyone that she would turn away if she could help them. She was always a cheerful giver.
Lucille was a member of the Anaconda Catholic Community and knew Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was always proud of her Irish ancestry and the great McCarthy name.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her two sisters who preceded her in death were her best friends. They were affectionately known as "The Golden Girls."
Lucille is survived by her children Margy (Gary) Rose, Sun City, AZ, Rosie Salle (Will Lescantz), Anaconda, grandchildren Chad (Dawn) Salle, Anaconda, Shawn Salle, Anaconda, and Dusty (Kelsie) Lane, Tacoma, WA, great grandchildren Kailyn Dupuis, Puyallup, WA, and Krystal Salle (Chris South), Anaconda, great great grandson Carson Dupuis, Puyallup, WA, brother Ed "The Great Irishman" (Bea) McCarthy and special friend Carol Strizich.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bud Clark, her parents Ed and Margaret (Finnegan) McCarthy, her brother Joseph McCarthy and her sisters Theresa Beausoleil and Helen Varelia.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, June 04, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
