Lisa Conklin Obituary

Lisa (Hainlin) Conklin passed away on Thursday May 26, 2022, following an extended illness.  She was born on August 13, 1968, in Butte to Sherry (Wyatt) Gonzales and Ben Hainlin.  Lisa grew up in Anaconda and graduated from Anaconda High School.  Lisa was the second daughter and she dearly loved and cherished her siblings. She had a very special bond with her mom. Anytime Lisa wasn’t feeling well her mom was always there for her and brought her much comfort. Lisa really enjoyed all the treats her mom made for her.

Lisa enjoyed helping others. She worked for several years as a caretaker at AWARE. She would bring clients home to spend time with her family. She would even have special coffee dates with one client (even though she never drank the coffee because she couldn’t stand coffee).

The role that Lisa cherished most was that of a mother to her four children and grandma to ten grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She would facetime with her grandbabies often and would then relay the cute things they said and did to our family.  Lisa had a very close bond with her oldest grandson Connor.  Connor would often spend the weekends with Lisa. He was always doting on her. He never missed an opportunity to tell her that he loved her.  She loved having him around.  Lisa looked forward to any event that would bring the entire family together whether it was the annual Christmas party, children’s birthday parties, or getting together at a summer cabin when her sister Chrissy came to town.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father; grandson Cameron; grandparents Robert and Diane Wyatt; and stepfather George Gonzales (Speedy).

Lisa is survived by her four children and nine grandchildren including son Scott (Mariah) Hainlin and Mariah’s three children; daughter Kaila (Danny) Sullivan and their children Connor, Kaidon, and Kylie Sullivan; son Cory (KC) Smith and their children Robby Joe, Wyatt, and Brody Smith; and daughter Jacee Conklin.  She is also survived by her mother Sherry Gonzales and sisters Leslie Hunt, Chrissy Dunn (Dan Fox), and Sarah (Shawn) Caldwell.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Melissa (Mike) Huotte and their children Kassidy, Lindsay, and McKenzy Trainor; Robert “Cole” Ford; Amanda (Mychal) Sneed and their children Dezirae and Kyson Brown; Pehtyn Dunn; and Mariah and Nick Caldwell. Other survivors include her uncle Robert “Butchy” Wyatt and very special friend Sheri Tongate.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Community Hospital of Anaconda for their wonderful care and treatment during Lisa’s final days.  They made sure she was comfortable and taken care of.  We are grateful for you!
