Obituary

Joseph William Heisdorf, 92, of Deer Lodge passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Deer Lodge Medical Center in Deer Lodge after a short battle with cancer.

Joe was born on March 19, 1930, in West Bend, Wisconsin to John and Emma Heisdorf.  Joe grew up in the Great Depression and many interesting stories about it.  He attended high school in Hartford, Wisconsin and graduated in 1948.  He was soon after drafted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at FT Bliss, Texas.  There he passed the entrance exam to the radar school there and learned and taught electronics.  After being discharged, Joe took his electronic skills and opened Joe’s TV Sales and Service in Richfield, Wisconsin and worked hard at a thriving business at the advent of television.  On September 4, 1954, Joe married Rose Landowski in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Joe and his wife Rose raised four children in Richfield, Wisconsin and in May of 1967 they moved to Deer Lodge, Montana. Joe continued his TV repair business and enjoyed hiking to mountain lakes in the Flint Creek Mountain Range and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Joe retired in 1995 and enjoyed his retirement after many years of hard work.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Rose and his parents, a sister and brother.

Joe is survived by his four children, Joan Taule of Sacramento, CA; Joseph Heisdorf of Deer Lodge, MT; Timothy Heisdorf of Phoenix, AZ; and Stephen Heisdorf of Deer Lodge, MT, his sister Ether Stephan of Menomonee Falls, WI and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Chapel in Anaconda.  Officiating is Fr. Paul Baumberger of Helena, MT.

Graveside services will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Deer Lodge.
