Jacqueline "Jackie" Niland Obituary

With a personality as bright as hers, it was fitting that Jackie Niland entered Heaven on a beautiful sunny day. Born to Albert “Jack” Boyle and Norma Jean Grant Boyle-York in 1949 Jackie joined a brother, Calvet and her sister Linda joined them soon after. In 1960 Jackie met her second family living next door in Bill and Sharon Violette from then on known as dad and mom. In 1961 they gave her a baby sister Carolyn. Jackie graduated from Anaconda High School and went on to work as an aid at Warm Springs and Galen and then had a career as a truck driver for MDT. Jackie married Ed Niland, and although they later divorced they remained lifelong friends.

Jackie had three amazing sons whom she adored – Shawn Kennedy, Bob and Billy Niland. She also had an honorary daughter in Angel Bordner. Though Billy passed away in 2001, he was never far from her mind. She was looking forward to being reunited with him in Heaven. Along with her dad, mom, adopted dad Bill Violette and sister Linda.

It was in her nature to take care of everyone. She nourished their spirits and their bodies. Not only did Jackie feed her children, but also their friends with every day bringing another person to lunch or dinner and into Jackie’s heart. This tradition also continued with her time at the Tri County Fair where she watched her “kids” compete in 4H and the rodeo for many years. She was such an infectious and loving mother and steadfast caregiver, that many of these friends became family who still continued to visit with Jackie on a regular basis.

Always one for enjoying the company of others, Jackie enjoyed Bingo, Bunko, Gambling and card games. She also had the opportunity to travel and visit Mexico, Aruba, Hawaii and Jamaica.

The family that Jackie left behind includes her brother, Calvet (Ruth) Boyle, sons, Shawn (Nancy), Bob and daughter Angel (Dan). Her absence will be greatly noticed by her grandchildren; DJ, Kaitlyn, Lizzy, Kevin, Peyton, Skylar, Ireland and Taylor. She also had great grandchildren whom she adored in Dakota, Camden and Natalee. As well as Sharon Violette, sister Carolyn (Larry Pasha), nephew Richard (Steph) Pasha, their boys Paxton and Cooper, niece Kellee (Jordan) Pasha and their boys Preston and Parker. It’s no surprise that Jackie leaves behind an abundance of friends who became family – especially the Rusinski clan. Her friends are too numerous to mention here but you know who you are because she told you so – all the time!

Donations in her honor can be made to Camp Make A Dream or the Make A Wish Foundation. Cards can be mailed to the family at 119 Mountain View Drive, Anaconda, MT 59711. A celebration of life for this remarkable human being will be held in the summer of 2024.

To know Jackie was to love her. But most importantly it was to be loved by her. She shared herself as a caregiver, friend, and a constant guiding light. The family asks that in her memory you let her lead by example – never end a phone call without saying I love you. And anytime you see a friend you need to give them a great big hug! Never under estimate how much stuff a bra can hold. Laugh – a lot. Take care of each other. Make the most of your time on earth. She’ll be watching.
