July 5, 1940 Grace married Kenneth "Buzz" Beattie in Anaconda Mt. She worked at Anaconda Hospital and Nursing Home for 21 years in the Housekeeping Department.
Grace was extremely hardworking, taking on extra work while caring for her home and family. After retirement, she volunteered for several years at the thrift center, cared for children in her home, and painted at her home church, Grace Baptist. Grace was known for her homemade baked goods, including the famous special k bars, breads, jellies, and pies (particularly apple). She enjoyed attending many sporting events of her grandchildren, watched all major league baseball games on tv being a great fan of the Atlanta Braves. She had the opportunity to attend a few major league games in Colorado.
Throughout her life, Grace fulfilled the meaning of her name by always thinking of and giving to others. She was the most gracious, generous, thoughtful, loving, and caring person and always made time for others. She was frequented by visitors often and enjoyed everyone's company. "It is by grace you were saved through faith, and not of yourself" Ephesians 2:8.
