GERALD INGVALD ARNESON, 83
March 14,1942 – March 30, 2021
Gerald (Bud) Ingvald Arneson was born in Cooperstown, North Dakota on March 20, 1938 and passed away peacefully in his sleep from natural causes on March 30, 2021 in Topock, Arizona.
He was the third born to eleven siblings. Mr. Bud as he was known, attended school in Hanaford, North Dakota. He enlisted in the Army from 1955 to 1957 at the age of 17. He married Patricia Williams and had three children Jerry, Terry, and Roxanne. This marriage ended in divorce. He worked for multiple construction companies as a truck driver. He was also a disabled veteran and a lifetime member of the Elks, Eagles, VFW, and American Legion.
Mr. Bud was known mostly for his fast and flashy rides, as well as his individual taste in wardrobes. He spent a lot of time locally with his friends Pete Lorello, Eddie Morris, and Todd Hilt. When he moved away to Arizona, he and friend Steve Smith spent their days driving route 66 and attending various car shows. He was a social butterfly and could always make a new friend.
I am certain when he arrives at heaven’s door, he will be welcomed by his parents Edwin and Ella (Krokum) Arneson, brothers Donald Arneson, Cliff Arneson, Rolly Arneson, and sisters Joyce Martzolf, June Hearting, and Joanne Kopach.
Bud is survived by his children Jerry (Paula) Arneson, Terry Arneson, Roxanne (Howie) Wigert. Brothers and Sisters (in-laws) Rick (Patty) Arneson, Roger Arneson, Mike (Jodi) Arneson, Dixie (Jack) Mehrens, and Ellen (Pat) Regan. Grandchildren Nathan Arneson, Jerod Arneson, Michael Wigert, Bryce Wigert, Mahlia Dietzman, and Terri Jo Arneson. Great Grandchildren Wesley, Willow, and William Davidson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Topock Fire Department, PO Box 66, Oatman Highway, Topock, Arizona 86436-12950.
