It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Diana Sue Binns-Chor on October 3rd, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her home.
Diana was a lifelong Anaconda resident, with a brief residency in Butte. She loved life to its fullest and loved her family and friends. She will be remembered as a CNA, both in Butte and Anaconda. She loved taking care of her residents and being silly and having fun with her coworkers. She worked at the Crest Nursing Home in Butte, and the Anaconda Nursing Home in Anaconda, where she retired.
Diana was born on May 11, 1955 in Anaconda. She was born to and raised by Rudy and Patricia Chor. She was the oldest of four children. She considered Rudy Chor to be her father, but her birth father was Ray Hochstrasser, may be misspelled. She loved family get together at the Chor family home on Ash St. and especially loved playing pinochle at the family table with her dad, mom, brother and sister. She was married to Michael Fitzpatrick, and they had three boys. Mike and her divorced, and she raised her sons in Anaconda with help from the Chor and Fitzpatrick families. She started a new love story with Bruce Holbrook and had many fun adventures with him, her children, and his daughter. When the love story ended, she started on another adventure with John Binns of Butte, where she lived for years and worked at the Crest Nursing Home where they met. They divorced some years after, at which time she moved back to Anaconda to be with her family. Where she has been since her passing. She had many friends that she enjoyed and thought of very fondly, especially her trailer crew at Big Sky RV. She also loved her cats.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents Rudy and Patricia Chor, her sister and brother-in-law Darryl and Kim Raasakka, her brother and sister-in-law Terry and Bonnie Chor, her ex-husband Michael Fitzpatrick, nephew Jeremy Darryl (JD) Raasakka, and son Randy Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her sons, Scott and Sheryl Fitzpatrick, and Donnie and Jori Fitzpatrick, both of Anaconda. Her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Mary Ann Chor of Kaiser, OR. She is also survived by numerous Grandchildren, Samantha and Michael Sauro of Malad, ID, Sierra Fitzpatrick of Anaconda, Scott Fitzpatrick Jr. of Anaconda, John Michael of Anaconda, Michael "Mickey Joe" of Deer Lodge, Harley of Butte, Terrance Fitzpatrick of Butte, Alex Fitzpatrick of Anaconda, Kahlan Fitzpatrick of Anaconda, Clayton Fitzpatrick of Philipsburg, and Anthony Fitzpatrick of Anaconda. She was also blessed with Great Grandchildren whom she loved, John (John Michael), Colter (Mickey Joe), Kiah and Oaklynn (Harley), Lillian, Gianna, Michael, Dominic, and Robert Sauro (Mike and Sam), Michael and Paisliegh (Sierra), and Brantley and Thoryn (Scott Jr.). She had countless nieces and nephews who she cherished as well, Malissa Raasakka and her children Anthony, Makayla, Nathan, Kayden and Keyona, Ashley Swisher and her children Liam, Keageen, and Paisley, Rudy Chor and her children Tommy, Haley and Colton, Casey and Scott Johnson and their children Shanna, and Aleena, Jeremy Darryl's children Starlin and Joseph. And Dan and May Ann's daughter Lynn Chor-Schropshire and her children, Carter and Carly. She also has numerous cousins with whom she was very close with, primarily, Colleen Loshesky, Jackie and Joe Cerise and Collette and John Hogenson. She also loved her aunts and uncles, Ralph Fisher and Jack and Jean Larson.
A small remembrance service will be held at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home Chop, 107 Oak St., Anaconda, MT, amongst family and friends on Monday October 9th, between 4 and 6 PM. We would love to see all who can make it there to share stories, laughs and tears.
