Heaven received another angel on September 23, 2021 Delores Lathrop (84) peacefully passed away to join the Lord.
Delores was born on November 5, 1936, in Miles City, MT. She was the daughter of William Ford Jr. and Evelyn “Babe” (Aggers) McElroy. After Graduating from CCHS , she attended Seattle Dental School and worked for Dr A.D. Nansel.
On November 19, 1955, she married the love of her life Wayne Lathrop. They had three daughters, Pam, Tracey and Toni. After her children were in school, Delores worked as a receptionist for local optometrist Dr. Elliot and Dr Rogsted for 20+ years. After retiring she volunteered at the Art Center, Holy Rosary Hospital gift shop, and the Range Riders Museum.
The last couple years of her life she had moved to Anaconda to be with her daughter Tracey.
Delores always had a warm smile and was a great listener. Some would say she was an angel here on earth. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian church and she truly devoted her life to the Lord.
She is survived by her three daughters: Pam (David) Millican,of Dallas, TX, and children Casey, Connor and Leighton, Tracey (Todd) Thun, of Anaconda,MT and children Shannon and Jordan, and Toni Canady, of Spokane, WA, and children Dustin, Lindsey, Danielle and Kirstin. Her brother William Ford,III, of Lancaster CA, and sister-in-law Rena Krieg of Miles City, MT She had eight (8) great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Lathrop, and her parents William Ford, and Babe McElroy.
There will be a graveside funeral for Delores in the spring of 2022,at the Custer County Cemetery.
