Clifford Galle Obituary

Clifford Norton Galle Jr. ‘Kip’, 80, of Anaconda, MT passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 with his wife, Florence and son, Tyke by his side. Cliff was born on March 12, 1941, in Anaconda. Cliff lived in Lost Creek his entire life and raised his amazing family there. Cliff and Florence were married on April 16, 1961. They were blessed with five amazing children and shared 60 plus years of love, adventures, laughs and arguments.

Cliffs first job was working at the family-owned Clover Leaf Creamery. Cliff put in 50 hard and dedicated years in the mining industry starting at the Anaconda Company Smelter. He worked at the Berkley Pit, Cleveland Wrecking - dismantling the Smelter and retired from Montana Resources in 2012. There was nothing that Cliffy couldn't fix. He spent many years as a welder and mechanic, and he was also the Maintenance Supervisor on the shovel crew. He retired from Montana Resources as the Garage Supervisor.

Cliff lived for the ranch life and loved the outdoors. If he wasn't working in the hay field or on a tractor you could find him at the "Berg" looking for elk, trapping, cat hunting with the hounds or on the river catching salmon and steelhead with family and friends. Cliff killed his last elk at 80 years young on opening day, October 23, 2021, with his son Tyke and grandson Chad by his side passing around the Jim Beam. No hunting or fishing adventure ever happened without "Jimmy" nearby.

Cliff is survived by his wife Florence and his children Denise (Ryan) of Lewisville ID, Jenell (Doug) of Forsyth MT, Tyke (Cheri) of Anaconda and Cheryl of Spokane Valley WA. Two sisters, Margie Hoiland of Anaconda and Maxine Sims of Waxsaw, NC. A half-sister, Teena Wadsworth-Mcwherter of Casa Grande, AZ and two step-sisters Billy Holmlund (Toby) of Anaconda and Bobbie Dippel of Casa Grande, AZ. Nine grandchildren, Dustin Martens (Becky) of Forsyth, Kordelle Stephenson (Tyler) of Hysham, Chad Galle (Alaina), Chelsea Galle (Kail) of Anaconda, Jack Leavell of Spokane Valley, Megan McVeigh, Tyler and Jacob Galle of Anaconda and Tobee Holman of Lewisville ID. Six great grandchildren, Sawyer and Finley Stephenson of Hysham, Rylan and Rhett Clark, Hailey Herra and Harper Galle of Anaconda.

Cliff was preceded in death by his father, Clifford N. Galle, Sr, his mother, Marge (Voorhies) Galle, stepmom, Bernice "Sissy" (Connell) Galle. First born son Randy Jo Galle. Sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Roe. Brothers-in-law Alvin Hoiland, Jerry Rogers and Joe Sims.

Cliff had so much love for his extended family, including all of his in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and his friends that were considered family.

I'll be walking with you to the barn, I'll be whispering in your ear how to fix that machine, I'll be fishing on the river with you, I'll be on the mountain waiting for you every early morning, I'll be with you every day - everywhere. This is not goodbye, it's until we meet again.
