Arlene Wind Obituary

On Tuesday Nov 30, 2021, Arlene R Wind passed away at Crest nursing home in Butte. She was 88 years old.

Arlene was born on November 29, 1933, in Anaconda to Arthur and Helen Weinkie. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Wind, her parents and her sister Betty Summers.

She is survived by her 3 Children Ramona Ballard, Larry Wind and Gary Wind and daughter in law Debbie Wind. 3 Grandchildren Mandi, Stacey and Kristopher. And 5 Great Grandchildren Jeffrey, Dillon, Gianna, Gracie and Lexi.

Arlene worked in Nursing most her life. She worked at Galen and Warm Springs.

Arlene had a lot of hobbies throughout her life. When she was younger, she loved to go ice skating. She also was a baker, and her specialty was the most beautiful wedding cakes. She also loved to garden, and her yard always looked so pretty. You could always find her in her kitchen making something good. These recipes have been passed down through generations. We will carry on the tradition and think of you every time we make them. She had a passion for crocheting. She made the most beautiful things thru out her life for her family. They will be cherished forever. Family time was important to her. A few of her favorite fun things to do with her family included camping and BBQs at Georgetown Lake. And all the priceless family vacations manly to California and Salt Lake in the family station wagon. Christmas was always her favorite time of year. And this year will be especially sad. But knowing she is reunited with Dad brings us comfort.

Mom you will be greatly missed this holiday season and everyday forward. Mom had a strong will to live and never lost that even in the end. She was known by some to be a bit of a "Spit fire". And we love that about you. We will carry your memory close to our hearts forever and always. Thank you for being a great mother and Grandmother. We Miss and Love you so much.
