Vicki Jensen Smith

Vicki J. Smith, 64 With sad hearts . . . Vicki Smith died unexpectedly in her home on May 22, 2017. Vicki was born in Coeur D' Alene, Idaho on August 05, 1952, to Eugene Jensen & Louise Ann Calnan. She was raised in Anaconda, Montana until her junior year in high school, when she moved to Billings, Montana and later to Federal Way, Washington. She is a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School-Seattle, Washington. After high school, she returned to Anaconda and met & married Henry D. Smith in 1971, "her first and last husband." They were married 46 years and have two children, Jennifer Dienhart and Farrah Smith. Vicki held several jobs in Anaconda. She started with First National Bank, then Warm Springs State Hospital, J. C. Penney's, Anaconda Community Hospital and both Vicki and Henry were Houseparent's at the Discovery House for 3 years. Vicki went to school at the Butte Academy of Beauty to become a Cosmetologist. In November of 1979 she received her Operator License and began her hair care business in her home. She also set up a shop at Hearthstone and did hair at the Community Nursing Home. Vicki also had a Scrapbooking Business with her partner, Lori Fleming. They would hold several crop classes per month and occasionally have a 4-day retreat at Angel's Nest. Vicki was very spiritual and family and friends were her passion. She has a contagious smile and giggle that was expressed all over her face. She loved to travel, especially to Maui, Ireland and Ocean Shores. She enjoyed going to the cabin at Georgetown Lake, where it's quiet and peaceful. She was very crafty, crocheted and enjoyed her small gardens. Vicki also had a great love for her past two dogs, Bear and Yogi and her current dog Boo. Vicki is preceded in death by her father Eugene Jensen, mother, Louise Ann Calnan, stepmother, Patricia Jensen, father & mother in-law, Henry and Sara Smith, sister in-law, Chris Jensen, brother in-law, Larry Case and her soul mate and cousin, Kathy Calnan. Vicki's survivors include her husband, Henry Smith, daughters, Jennifer (Wayne) Dienhart and Farrah Smith. Grandchildren, Michael, Hope and Rebecca Dienhart and Tyler Smith. Brothers: Nels/Sharron, Jens/Susan, and Shaun Jensen. Sisters: Capri/Rick Barlow, Andrea/Rick Forston and Celeste/Deon Goodwin. Brothers-in-law,Terry and John/Judy Smith. Sisters in-law, Mary Case, Willa/Daniel Garber, Lucy/Gerald Zarr and Sara/Bruce Nelson. Special Aunt Vonnie Calnan and Uncle Kevin/Terri Calnan. Special friends, Susan Montgomery and Jackie Bock. Vicki also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were fortunate to have her in their lives. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 02, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Anaconda. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
