Tom Williams

Tom Williams of Anaconda passed away Friday morning, August 5 at St. James Hospital in Butte into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Thomas Michael Williams was born October 9, 1960 to Lester and Ruth (Krenz) Williams at Butte Silver Bow General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Butte and Anaconda communities. At Butte High School Tom sang with the musical group Top 16. Upon graduation he entered Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology, earning a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering. Tom elected to stay in Butte and become involved in the antique business, as he was an avid collector. Over the years he operated several antique shops, including Antiques on Broadway. He also worked several years for Silver Bow County as Public Administer. While working in the antiques business he met Lynette Wilson. They married in Butte in 2001 and later moved to Anaconda where Tom worked as animal warden for Anaconda-Deer Lodge County. Tom was an avid outdoorsman his entire life. He took every opportunity to hunt and fish. He also loved cooking, and supplied numerous charities and his church with food for their fundraisers. Tom was a man of deep faith who was always helping others. Tom was preceded in death by both parents and brother Dale. Survivors include wife Lynette, brothers Bill (Irene) Williams of Tucson, AZ., Lyle Williams of Henderson NV, Ted (Suzanne) Williams of Spokane, Gary (Pue) Williams of Missoula, and sister Arletta (Bob) Haecker of Juneau, AK. Aunt Teresa Tarpo of New England, ND. Sisters and brothers in law Joyce (Jerry) Beasley of Butte, Linda (Lauren) Senner, Barb Wilson, LeRoy (Kathy) Wilson, Stacy LaForge, all of Anaconda, and Sherry Bell of Roseville, CA. Tom is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home Chapel in Anaconda. Memorials are preferred to Pintler Pets at PO Box 1204, Anaconda, MT 59711.
