Timothy Charles Vosburgh

Our world has been affected by the loss of a gentle soul, Timothy Charles Vosburgh. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor on Christmas Eve 2024 and passed away January 27, 2025 at home in Anaconda, Montana.

Tim was born in Butte on April 5, 1956. He went home to Boulder, Montana where he was raised in the vibrant community of people who remained lifelong friends. Tim was a quiet person with whom it took time to get to know. He had many very good friends that spanned his entire adult life.

Tim was able to live a life that included his passionate pursuits of hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, golf, and many other outdoor activities that made him a whole person. As a young man he cultivated his relationship and philosophy about nature through seven years of seasonal work with the forest service and many years more as a contractor, cruising timber. With hard work he was able to become a wildlife biologist and combine the field work he loved with the necessary paperwork. Tim spent several decades of his career working for Montana Indian tribes, ending at his beloved Fort Belknap Reservation. He also worked for the BLM in both Wyoming and Alaska.

Tim is survived by his wife Karan, her son and grandchildren. As a middle child, Tim will be missed by older brother Wayne and sister Kathy; as well as younger sister Janet and brother Mark. He was generously blessed by the relationships with his siblings,their spouses, children and grandchildren. He also touched the lives of nine families of in-laws.

Tim leaves behind many dear friends who will miss him in their lives.

We will host a memorial celebration of Tim’s life on his birthday April 5, at 11:00 am at the Catholic Community Center in Boulder, MT. Memorials can be made in Tim’s name to the Anaconda Pintler Hospice.
