Thomas "Leroy" Durand

Thomas “LeRoy” Durand Born in Missoula Montana January 30th, 1941, passed away in Anaconda on Monday April 19th, 2021 at the age of 80.

LeRoy was raised in Philipsburg and graduated Granite High School in 1959.  Served in the Army National Guard 1964-1970. LeRoy married Margaret Ann (Peggy) Merrifield June 2nd, 1965.

LeRoy worked in the mining industry for 40 years in Montana, Washington, and Nevada before returning back home to Montana to retire in 2005.

LeRoy was an avid outdoorsman.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy; sons Robert, Don (Toni), and Mike (Kim); sister Mitzi Puccinelli (Ed); brother Skip Durand (Debbie); sister-in law Jamie Hanson.

Preceded in death by his parents, Don and Jo Durand; his parents-in law, Clare Ann and Buster Merrifield; sister, Karen Durand.
