Theresa "Teri" Colbert

Theresa “Teri” Colbert (Baker), 74, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with a debilitating form of dementia known as primary progressive aphasia.

Teri is survived by her loving husband, Dave Colbert, Jr.; her daughter, Ruschelle Tyvand; her son, Ty Tyvand (Kate); her stepchildren, Brandi Krum (Tim), Ashley Phillips (Ted), and Jeurgen Colbert; and six cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Geri Beckman of Houston, Texas, as well as her surrogate parents, Greg and Bea Parker. Teri leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews in eastern Montana and Williston, North Dakota.

Teri spent 25 years working alongside her husband in their family business. She found great joy in the outdoors and shared many adventures with family and friends, including rafting, hunting, fishing, and skiing.

Her greatest treasures were her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Grandma.” She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Anaconda Country Club, Anaconda, MT. There will be a reception immediately following the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Special Olympics.
