Terrie Ann (Harding) Priestley, 58, passed away peacefully after a brief, but intense battle with lung cancer on Friday, June 17, 2016.
Terrie was born September 30, 1957 to Edith (Nelson) Thompson and Leroy Thompson, both lifelong residents of Anaconda.
Terrie married in September of 1973, and soon thereafter her first daughter, Kathy Lynn, was born. Two years later, Schriee May was added to the family. Terrie's deep commitment to the welfare of her daughters drove her to work multiple jobs to support them, working as a waitress at the Copper Club, the Park Café, Denton's Point and others.
In 1996, she married Jim Priestley and has been happily married to him, spending winters in Las Vegas in the Priestley family home and summers in Anaconda in Terrie's family home on Chestnut street where she and Jim have worked together for the past several years to restore and rebuild the old house.
Terrie loved to put together photo albums and displays, and spent countless hours arranging, and re-arranging her albums until they met her approval. She also enjoyed indoor gardening with potted flowers and plants. She and Jim would take drives through the countryside, counting deer and elk, and enjoying the great Montana beauty that surrounds us.
Terrie's real passion in life was her grandson Jakob, who put the smile on her face everyday. The two of them would frolic like teen agers, running through the house playing tag, sounding like a herd of elephants chasing through the hallways, or sitting quietly in a recliner together reading a book or watching their favorite TV programs and movies.
Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Edith and is survived by her loving husband Jim, daughters Kathy and Schriee, and her beloved grandson Jakob. Terrie's warm smile and generous heart was rewarded by a multitude of friends. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
At Terrie's request, there will be no funeral services.
