Skyla Larae Kaye

July 14, 1986 — April 14, 2014

Skyla LaRae Kaye, beloved wife of Brian Kaye, passed away unexpectedly on April 14. She and her twin brother were born on July 14, 1986. From the day she was born she lit up the world with her giving spirit and her loving heart. She was a strong and determined woman. Skyla was working as a psych tech at Montana State Hospital. In every job she devoted herself and had a tremendous work ethic. There were many fortunate people to have been touched by Skyla. Each day she also worked tirelessly to be a caregiver for family and friends. Skyla was a kid at heart and loved to play with her nephews and nieces. During Sunday dinners she was always outside playing ball with them. They couldn't wait to play with their Auntie Skyla. Skyla was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Montana Grizzlies. In 2010 she was able to go to her first Griz game with her sister-in-law. Skyla married the love of her life, Brian, on September 17, 2011. It was a grand celebration surrounded by all of their family and friends. Skyla is survived by her husband, Brian Kaye, her father, Greg Hettenhouser, Oregon, her mother, Renee Speelmen, Butte, brothers, Chris, Jeremy and Corey. She is survived by her mother-in-law, Patti Boggess, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jamie and Jeremy Knott, and nephews and nieces, Jadon, Jenna, Anthony and Avery. She is also survived by her close friend, Brenda Bailey. Visitation will be Thursday, April 17 at 3:30 and the Memorial Service will be at 4:30.
