Shawn Paul Mcdermott

On Saturday April 11, 2020, Shawn Paul McDermott, passed away of natural causes at the age of 39. Shawn was born on October 25, 1980 to Beth and Paul McDermott. He graduated from Anaconda High School in 1999, worked at MSP and later went on to make a career in the oil fields. Shawn was a bit of a daredevil who loved snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his Harley. He was a free spirit who fiercely loved his family.\ Shawn was preceded in death by his Grandparents Howard and Rhea Hamel, Mother Beth, Father Paul, Sister Mickie, Cousin Rebecca Mason and special father figure, Jon Street. Shawn is survived by his Brother Scott (Rebecca) McNeil, Sister Shelly McNeil, Nephews- Justin McNeil and Braden McNeil, Nieces-Cara (Rex) Lewis, Shelby McNeil, Olivia McQueary and Sierra McNeil. Cousins Heather Nichols (Kevin Murar) and Craig (April) Nichols, Aunt Linda (Rob) Nichols. In lieu of flowers, join the NRA, take a loved one fishing, go on a snowmobile ride or get on your Harley and ride. Shawn will be forever remembered for the twinkle in his eye, amazing smile, and his incredible laugh. Services will take place on Saturday April 18th and are limited to immediate family only per government restrictions. The family would like to apologize to Shawn's friends and extended family. We are not able to accommodate a large gathering at this time due to the Covid -19 restrictions that have been placed on the county and funeral home. Friends and extended family will be notified when a celebration of life can take place.
