Sharon Ann Mccoy

January 24, 1956 — April 10, 2016

Sharon Ann McCoy, 60, passed away on Sunday, April 10th in Philipsburg. She was born in Anaconda, the youngest of three children of Jack and Anna Mae McCoy. A graduate of Granite High in Philipsburg, she was a proud MSU graduate. She was a longtime employee of Granite Mountain Bank. Sharon was a kind, generous, and caring person. Always a lover of music, she enjoyed singing in choirs including the Flint Creek Singers. She was involved with the public library and served in the past on the library board. She was an active member of her church, including serving as a reader and parish council member. She is survived by brother Ed (Kay) McCoy of Alaska, sister MaryJo (Jim) Hamling of Lewistown, MT, niece Melissa (Danny) Hoover of Nevada and nephews Mike Hamling of Lewistown, and Joe (Anne) McCoy of Helena. Aunts and uncles surviving her are Rita Allen of Anaconda, Joe and RoseMary Sheehan of California and Bob and JoAnn Berna of Alaska. Numerous cousins also survive. Memorial service will be on Friday, April 15th at 11am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Philipsburg with committal after at Philipsburg Cemetery. A luncheon at the church will follow. As per her wishes, memorials can be made to: St Philip Neri Catholic Church Philipsburg, P.O. Box 329, Drummond MT 59832 or to St Patrick House, 501 West Alder St. Missoula, MT 59802, a home where medical patients and their families can stay during treatment. The family wishes to thank all her friends, relatives, coworkers and the staff of Rocky Mountain Hospice for all the kindness shown during her illness.
