Scott Dennis Pergande

Scott Dennis Pergande, age 63, died peacefully in his home in Philipsburg, MT on May 03, 2015 of kidney cancer. Scott was born on January 20, 1952 to Herbert and Lucille (Marquardt) Pergande in Watertown, WI. He attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Columbus High, Columbus, WI in 1970. He was involved in managing sports and lettered in Future Business Leaders of America. He was voted to be the Most Successful Person in his class. Scott started a job at Duffy Brothers in Columbus, WI. He hauled cattle and pigs in the lower 48 states and Alaska. He has been an owner/operator since leaving the Duffy Brothers and drove for Dakota Bake-n-Serve out of Fall River, WI before moving to Spokane, WA. He then drove for Columbia Lighting. He then went to work for CH Robinson Worldwide, Inc. hauling produce until the time of his death. Scott drove truck for 48 years with over 6 million miles under his belt. He was the best in the business. Survivors include Scott's wife Toni (Larson) Pergande, Philipsburg, MT, parents, Herbert and Lucille Pergande, Columbus, WI, his children Chad Pergande, Janesville, WI, Leah and Chris Westphal, DeForest, WI, Jessica and Kenneth Williams, Las Vegas, NV, Jacob Pergande, Gladstone, ND, Justin Pergande, Dickinson, ND, Ayme Swartz, Washington, D.C., and Patricia Swartz, Williston, ND; grandchildren include Devon, Treyton, Trevor, Kenneth Jr., and Khloe, sister Sandy Evans, Sauk City, WI, Shawn and Dan Westby, Henderson, NV, brothers-in-law Mike Larson, Horicon, WI, and Jay Larson, San Diego, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Scott will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Emilie (Pumplum) Pergande and Lawrence and Martha (Yerges) Marquardt, his son Joshua at 3 ½, and his brother-in-law Mike Evans. Viewing will be Friday, May 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Philipsburg Community Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Philipsburg Community Church with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
