Ruth A. Driver

Ruth A. Driver, 92, of Anaconda died peacefully May 23, 2014 at the Community Nursing Home of Anaconda. Ruth was born May 4, 1922 to Thaddeus and Frances Mundy. Ruth was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Edwin, Mike, Anna, Patricia, Mary, Bill, and Francis as well as a brother who died as a young child. Ruth moved to Anaconda and met and married the loved of her life, Felix Peter Driver Sr. Felix and Ruth had two children, Felix Peter Driver Jr. and Frances "Franny" Driver Farmer. Ruth was the descendant of Aliza Tinsley Mundy, who was General Custer's cook. Ruth was an LPN at Warm Springs State Hospital where she worked for twenty-eight years. When not at work, you find Ruth working in her flower and vegetables gardens, volunteering at the Anaconda Thrift Center and the Anaconda Food Bank or sharing a cup of coffee with her many relatives and friends. Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Felix Peter Driver Jr. (Carol) of Anaconda and daughter and son-in-law Frances "Franny" Driver Farmer (Gerry) of Madison, MS. Grandchildren, Lisa (Fred) Saur of Anaconda, Pete (Trish) Driver of Gillette, WY, and Sonia Farmer of Cambridge, MA. Great grandchildren Kyle Johnson of Bozeman, MT, Tiffany Saur of Anaconda, Nathan and Trevor Driver of Gillette, WY, and great great grandson Parker James Saur of Anaconda, along with numerous other special nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home, 107 Oak St. in Anaconda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Pintler Pets of Anaconda, PO Box 1204, Anaconda, MT 59711 or a charity of your choice.
