Ronnie Leroy "Whitey" Dye

Who would have thought that tow-headed little baby boy, born May 22, 1945, would have turned into such a force of nature? That little boy grew up to be a man who worked hard, played hard and lived life to its fullest. Underneath it all he had a heart of Gold. Ronnie's life's calling was to become a carpenter/contractor; and he always did the best for his customers. When he worked for someone that needed a little break, he would quietly throw that in at no charge. Ron had many friends and his work speaks for itself all over Anaconda and the surrounding area. Ron met and married Dixie Wilson, the love of his life, and together they raised his son, the apple of their eye, Travis, who unfortunately passed away too young in 2014. Broken hearted, Ron and Dixie carried on, Ron fighting this horrible disease COPD which steals your life away bit by bit until the fight is gone. But Ron was granted the miracle of a painless, peaceful death at home with his beloved Dixie at his side. In his youth, he loved his work, his cars and the ladies. Oh boy did he love the ladies! But he settled down and became a loyal husband and father. Many thanks to the wonderful people at Anaconda Pintler Hospice who shared our journey and provided such help and guidance. And all our friends who were there with their prayers and support. Services will be held at Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Chapel on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Anaconda American Legion Post #21 and the Air Force Honor Guard.
