Robert Pierre Tesson

Robert Pierre Tesson, 56, passed away on August 17, 2026, in Decatur, Texas.

Born on June 11, 1970, in Butte, Montana, Rob was the beloved husband of Shannon Tesson. Together they built a life centered around their growing family and many friends.

Rob was a 1988 graduate of Anaconda High School and went on to spend more than 34 years working on the railroad. He will be remembered for the steady presence he brought to those around him and for the joy he found in time spent with family, friends, and the activities he loved most. Kind, generous, and fun loving, he was known as a loyal and strong family man.

In his younger years, Rob was an avid dart and pool player. He loved playing softball, especially alongside his father. That shared connection remained an important part of his life and memory. He was also a lifelong, diehard Raiders fan.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon; children Corey (Donna), Justin, and Britney (Colby); grandchildren Nevaeh, Margaret, Edwin, Millie, Avery, and Daisy; his mother, Peggy Tesson; siblings Jeneene (Rob) Samaniego, Brian (Mike) Tesson, and Matthew (Hannah) Tesson; nephew and nieces Joe, Courtney, Harper, and Karsyn; close friends Mike Puccinelli and Mike Ungaretti; and his loyal companions Alzado, Falcor, and Lester.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pierre Tesson, who was also his teacher and softball teammate; his grandparents Harry and Margaret Bartholomew and Julie Davidson; his special aunt, Rhea Connors; and his loyal companions, Sterling, Butch, Marley, and Zim.

Rob will be remembered for his loyalty, his generosity, and the fun‑loving spirit he shared so freely with others — and as “RPT” to some. His memory will remain with all who knew him.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held on Friday, September 11, at 3 p.m. at the Anaconda Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Montana Pittie Project in his memory.
