Obituary for Raymond R.(Papa Ray) Brown Age:59
Ray was born on May 6, 1955, to Leonard and Dorothy (Cummings) Brown. He passed on to heaven to join the angels glorious meet past the golden gates on January 10, 2015. He was with us for a while, then he took flight on golden wings made of everlasting light. When the sun shines we'll think of his smile, laughing, hunting, camping and fishing in god's beautiful nile. He lived his life unselfishly; he lived it for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was very honored and loved man.
Ray graduated from Anaconda Central High in 1973. He then proceeded on to marry his longtime friend Rosie Shandorf. Together they created a family of 5 children. Tina Brown (Justin Keenan), Laurie Brown, William Brown, Michelle Brown (Justin Sixkiller), and Michael Brown. This is the result of their six beautiful grandchildren, Jordan Brown (Vernon Valdez), Clare Brown, Syriah Sixkiller, Melody Brown, Tristin Sixkiller, and Cierra Keenan and one great-grandchild, Shawn Valdez. Ray had many sisters and brother-in-laws, Sandie and Bernie Calcatera, Punky and Tom Kieser, Joann Shandorf, and Bill Shandorf. Ray also had many nieces and nephews, Wes and Leanna (Kieser) Doll, Bill and Theresa (Kieser) Stanly and Bobbie Calcatera and also serval cousins as well.
Ray worked for the Anaconda Company and he served in the United States Army. He was a very prod veteran and served his community with a smile. He worked as a tree trimmer and construction worker and then worked for himself. His greatest joy was being a volunteer and an avid member of the DAV. He was very outgoing and loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who came to know Ray.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dorothy Brown, aunts and uncle and his granddaughter, Neka Sixkiller, his mother-in-law and father in-law- Dorothy and Lucky Shandorf and his brother-in-law Bubba Shandorf.
Souls are like roses in the garden. Just like we pick the prettiest ones, God only picks the most beautiful souls to join him in his quarters.
