Randy W. Counts

Randy W. Counts, 64, died on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in Anaconda. Randy was born in Butte, MT on July 25, 1951 to Clarence and Mildred Counts, he graduated from Butte High School and he attended Montana Tech and he also served in the United States Army. Randy married the love of his life, Patsy Yelsa in 1974 and they enjoyed 41 years together. He worked at Gamble Robinsons, City of Anaconda, Greyrock Construction and the Anaconda Postal Service where he made many lifelong friends. Randy was an avid hunter, enjoying archery, rifle and shotgun seasons on foot and horseback, stalking every type of game. He loved being outdoors, hunting camps in the fall, and out of state trips. He was a member of the Anaconda Country Club and he golfed frequently at the Old Works, with winter golf trips in Arizona. Randy was a very kind, generous and marvelous person. He was the best husband ever, and super brother, and a great friend. Randy will be terribly missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him. Randy is survived by his wife Patsy, his brothers, Ron Counts and Larry and Donna Colvin and family, his daughter, Cori, granddaughter Elle, his puppy, Harley, his aunts, Alice Seymour and Helen Terpin, and many wonderful cousins, hunting partners, golfing partners and friends. Randy is preceded in death by his father, mother and many dear relatives. Please say a prayer for randy and share a story about him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Longfellow Finnegan Riddle Funeral Home in Anaconda on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to the time of e service and the reception at the Hope Lutheran Church following the ceremony. Military honor will be conducted by the Montana Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to your favorite charity.
