Phyllis spent the majority of her career working for Trans Cal Insurance in Sacramento, where she retired as Vice President of Operations.
On January 8, 1982 Phyllis married David Thompson in Sacramento, California. Dave had 2 children, Beth & Jon, whom Phyllis embraced as her very own.
