Penny Rae Ryan

At home with her loving husband by her side, Penny Lerouge Ryan, our “commie mommy”, 67, of Opportunity, passed away as the sun rose, June 22, 2024.  She was born in Great Falls on December 30, 1956 to Lee and Nancy Pate.  She attended local schools and considered Ulm, her native hometown.

She married Butch Ryan of Opportunity on November 8, 1981.  They loved this tiny community and raised their two sons here, Beau and Jesse; who still live nearby, both calling Anaconda home.  Delighted to be a grandma, Penny cherished being around her granddaughter, Aleah Hope Ryan, who she adored endlessly.

A very talented artist, cook, professional model, weaver, motorcycle “long-rider”, and online Marx/Lenin teacher to hundreds around the globe.  Penny will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved her; soul eternal, her spirit will live in our hearts forever.
