Peggy Allyn Phillips

June 11, 1956 — June 28, 2023

Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Philipsburg

Peggy Allyn Phillips (Hoehne) was born in Philipsburg, Montana on June 11, 1956 to Jack and Faye Hoehne. She grew up in Philipsburg surrounded by her brothers, aunts and uncles, and many cousins. She graduated from Granite High School, class of 1974.

Shortly after graduation she married Bill Fisher of Troy, MT. They had a son Eric in 1975.  They were divorced several years later and Peggy returned to Philipsburg. She spent many years as a dispatcher for the Granite County Sheriff’s Office and the Idaho State Police Office in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.

Peggy met the love of her life Stan Phillips and they settled in Kansas City, Missouri. Peggy and Stan were married and she worked as a file clerk for Shook, Hardy and Bacon Law Firm. Stan passed in 2021 and Peggy embarked on her last role - fulltime grandma. Peggy moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and while crocheting, cross stitching and doting on her grandchildren, she fought a courageous battle with cancer, to which he finally succumbed. Her favorite place on earth was Philipsburg, Montana, especially Stewart Lake where she spent most summers with family and friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by parents Jack and Faye Hoehne.
