On the afternoon of Nov. 4th 2025, Patsy Ann Bahsteter passed away at the community nursing home of Anaconda while being comforted and visited by her family, she was 78 years old.
Patsy was born on March 29, 1947, to Frank E. Haacke and Emily “Pat” Haacke. She grew up outside of Philipsburg on the ranch with her two brothers, Wally Haacke and Franke H. Haacke. In 1970, she married Robert “Bob” E. Bahsteter and had two children.
Patsy loved cooking and canning. Many of her children’s friends would just show up for dinner and if they left, they house hungry that was their fault. Patsy also loved hunting, camping, going for rides, and fishing out on the ranch where Flint Creek ran through. She also enjoyed painting ceramics.
Patsy loved working at Cyprus Mines with many lifelong friends. Patsy then started working at the Philipsburg Schools as a Kindergarten Teachers Assistant and cooking for the kids as a Kitchen Aide. Patsy lastly worked as a Deputy Clerk of Court in Philipsburg and retired from there. During her retirement, she traveled, quilted, and spent time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Allen (Frank); son, Todd Bahsteter (Michelle); her grandchildren, Amanda, Reece, Alarik, Victoria, Kala (Jake), William (Sapphire); great grandchildren, Rosabella, Abigail, Patrick, Sophia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Bahsteter; father, Frank E. Haacke; her mother, Emily “Pat” Chinn; and brothers, Wally Haacke, and Frank H. Haacke.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date in 2026.
