Patricia "Pat" Ann Sedminik

Anaconda, Montana

Patricia Anne (Williams) Sedminik, age 81, passed away on Thursday September 5th, 2024 at St Patrick's Hospital after medical complications. She was born to Virgil and Bernice Williams on January 29th, 1943 in Cooperstown, North Dakota. Known as Pat or Grandma Pat , she grew up with her sisters Debbie Johnson, Lilas (Toots) Wendt, Virginia (Dolly) Rij and brothers Darrell (Jim) Williams, and Jerry Williams. Pat attended High School in Cooperstown, North Dakota and was a cheerleader. She married Gerald Arneson in 1959 and had three children together. Roxanne (Howie) Wigert, Terry Arneson, Jerry (Paula) Arneson from this marriage. They later divorced in 1980 and she remarried her loving husband Ed Sedminik for over 43 years. This blend created the bond of additional children Jim Sedminik, Joe Sedminik, Deborah Colbert, and Diane (Jerry) McWhithey who she treated as her own.

Pat worked multiple jobs as a nurses aide, operating room technician, photography assistant, and retired from Osco Drug when she worked as a sales clerk. She spent most of her retirement time gardening, and attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren' numerous sporting events. She loved her family dearly and was always kind to those she met. Her favorite color was blue and she had a love for angels and butterflies. Pat also enjoyed playing the accordion which she mastered by watching the Lawrence Welk show. Pat and Ed were two peas in a pod. There was never a dull moment when in their presence. Grandma Pat would say what was on her mind. She was strong willed, and had an infectious laugh and a beautiful smile. Pat and Ed often traveled to North Dakota to visit family, and her mothers’ best friend and special friend of the family, Ghaili Abraham. Pat enjoyed meeting for lunch with her retired friends from Osco Drug.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents VIrgil and Bernice Williams, brother Jerry Williams, sister Lilas (Toots) Wendt, Virginia (Dolly) Rij, bonus sons Jim Sedminik and Joe Sedminik. She leaves behind her husband Ed Sedminik, children Roxanne Wigert, Jerry Arneson, Terry Arneson, bonus daughters Diane McWithey and Deborah Colbert. Grandchildren Nathan Arneson, Jerod Arneson, Michael Wigert, Bryce Wigert, Terri Jo Arneson, Mahlia Dietzman, Brandi Krum, Ashley Phillips, Jeurgen Colbert, Nicole Hanna, Jake Christie, Tia Green, Terryl Green, Tahnni Sedminik, Tristian Sedminik, Taneeshya Sedminik, and eleven great grandchildren. She also had numerous relatives she leaves behind.

Services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on Saturday September 14th, 2024 at 10 a.m. A reception will follow at the Elks BPO Lodge.
