Michael "Mick" Zemliska

May 25, 1954 — November 7, 2024

Maxville

Michael “Mick” Zemliska passed away on November 7, 2024, at his home after a long health battle.

On May 25, 1954, Micks parents and older brother Daune celebrated his birth and was introduced to all as Michael W.  Zemliska (Mick), the son of Bruce and Ruth Zemliska from Glasgow Montana.

Just three years later when another baby boy was born, Mick became known as the middle son of the infamous three Zemliska Boys, and the world was changed forever.

So many things in Micks life seemed of little significance at the time they happened but then took on a greater importance as he got older.  Memories are so precious and have more value than all the gold and silver in the world.

Memories … where do we begin?

Mick worked hard his whole life.  He started working building chicken wire pens in Three Forks. After a short stint of working in the oil fields as a welder he then went to Rawlings.  He then became a partner with the Left Tech and Power Coating of Montana in Missoula Mt.

Micks’ passion  where cars, guns, Jeep racing, welding, four wheeling or side by siding in the great mountains of Montana.  Sitting around bonfires telling stories, eating amazing food and having a beer with family and friends

In retirement Mick adopted a young pup named Tator.  Tator was a very loved and spoiled pup.  Mick went everywhere with her, no matter if it was to town or up the mountain, Tator was going!  Memory lane of Tator and Mick-  Daune and Mick were going to dinner with friends and Tator did not want to be at home, she quietly entered Duane’s car and did not make a sound till they passed P-burg.  Both Daune and Mick laughed all the way to Barclays.  Tator will miss Mick the most.  Her love for Mick is the strongest bond between a dog and an owner.

Speaking of titles…Mick held a few in his day.

Mick was a devoted son, an energetic teenager, a loving brother and brother-in-law, a true loyal friend, and a spoiling uncle.

Survivors are:  brothers, Duane Zemliska and Dennis Zemliska. Nephews Casey Zemliska, Jason Zemliska and Dusty Zemliska, Friends are: Rick Lundgren, Sherry and Tom Armstrong, Marianne Fredrickson, Ron and Michael Walker,  Mike and Patty Fredrickson, Willard and Julie Myers, Ed and Ann Melcher, Mike Keogh, Ross Johnson, Roy Johnson, Paul Johnson, Jennifer and Seth Robinson, Bj and Jamie Adams, Brent and Trish Armstrong, Blake Lundgren, Eric Lundgren, Keith Lundgren, Jill and Ray Schurman, Amy and Brad Taber, Devin and Savanah Walker, Dameon Fonk, Royce Adam, Jenna Adams, Dean Madley and many more friends.

Mick is preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Ruth Zemliska,  Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, Nephew Chris Zemliska, Sister-in-law Cheryl Zemliska, Friends Harold, Jerry, Rita, Randy.

Mick’s favorite saying is “Mini Skirts and Muscles Cars, it doesn’t get any better.”

A Vigilant will be held on July 11, 2025, in Maxville, Montana. Micks’ ashes will be spread the following day up the mountain. “Please don’t cry because I’m gone; instead, be happy that I was here.”
