Michael "Mick" Eugene Miller

Mick Miller, age 56, unexpectedly passed away accidently in his residence in Anaconda. Born on March 29, 1960 to Arlene and Lester Miller of Anaconda. Starting at a young age, Mick's big heart was always watching over family and friends. Never looking for trouble, but would finish it. Mick spent most of his childhood out in the mountains with family and friends. As he grew older, Mick lettered in wrestling and took up boxing. Mick brought into this world four amazing children. First Jessica, by his high school sweetheart Kim Mehrens, second Ashly, third Bradly by his true love Colleen Steinke, who left this world too soon of cancer. He soon found love again with Jodi Murphy having his fourth child Jaylin. Mick was an avid outdoorsman. Summertime camping, fishing and showing off his victory, spending time up at Silver Lake with friends and family. In the fall, Mick pursued his real passion, chasing elk in the rut with his little nephew Jeff who he considered one of his own. He also went rifle hunting with his best friend/father Lester. Once the snow flew, Mick looked forward to playing in the snow on his snowmobiles with friends and family. Mick also enjoyed taking rides with his family. Mick started his work life at Fairmont bussing tables and various tasks. From there he went to work at Stolze Land and Lumber running the buzz saw. He then moved back to Anaconda and started his career for the State at Warm Springs, then transferred to the Montana State Prison where he worked in the laundry until he retired in March of 2013 after 32 years. Mick then started bartending at the JFK Bar for his "fun money." Mick had a great passion for life and lived everyday as if it was his last with no regrets. Mick is survived by his mother Arlene, his kids Jessica, Ashly, Bradly and Jaylin, best friend/little nephew Jeff, grandkids Ryen, Faith, Presley and first grandson Beckett and his last love Ann Wareham. Mick was preceded in death by Colleen Miller (wife). Mick was reunited in heaven with his best friend/father Lester Miller on Thursday, May 12th, 2016. They both will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, a college fund will be set up for Jaylin Miller (daughter) at the SouthWest Montana Credit Union 1035 W. Park, Anaconda, MT 59711. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 in conjunction with his father, Lester Miller at the Grace Baptist Church, 501 Cedar St., Anaconda. Visitation will begin on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at the Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
