Maxine A. Latray

After an extended illness, Maxine A. (Doney) LaTray passed away on April 17, 2019. Born on July 15, 1932 in Zortman, MT to Pete and Lydia (Lavenger) Doney. Maxine loved to tell stories about growing up there and her brothers, sisters and parents. Maxine met and married her life partner, Don LaTray, around 1949 in Chinook, MT. They moved to Anaconda in 1952 where Maxine and her sister Ruby ran the Marcus Daly Restaurant until it closed, and she worked for Anaconda Job Corp for 20+ years. In later years, Maxine enjoyed going to the casinos so she could visit with numerous friends. Her mischievous smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Surviving family are Donna and Donnie Dickson (Anaconda), Doris LaTray (Anaconda), Diana and Jerome Joy (Missoula), Lynn and Kori Dickson (Missoula), very special daughter Delinda LaTray (Anaconda), sister Edna and Gordon Teske (Great Falls), grandchildren Lynn Jr., Darian and Kendy Dickson and many nieces and nephews. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Don LaTray, daughter Barbara Latray, father Pete Doney, mother Lydia Doney, brothers Elmer, Alex "Jiggs", Gene, Donald "Andy", and Leonard, sisters Ruby LaTray, Alice Pewonka, half-sister Grace Campbell and half-brother Charles Lavenger, grandson Don Dickson Sr. and great grandson Don Dickson Jr. Funeral Services for Maxine Latray will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
