Mary Lee Shepherd

April 19, 1943 — December 10, 2023

Helena

On the evening of December 10, 2023, comforted by her sons and family members, Mary Lee Fitzpatrick-Shepherd, “Grandma Lee”, passed peacefully of natural causes.

Mary Lee always spread her infectious kindness wherever she traveled. She was a devoted mom that always expressed how proud she was of her boys no matter what.

Mom loved her time with her siblings, always keeping an eye on her thirteen nieces and nephews. She always tried to live close to her two sisters that she adored.  She was always boasting about her older sister Jerry and keeping close tabs and traveling with her baby sister Patsy as long as she wasn’t trying to “boss her around”. Another favorite past time for mom was to be at the lake with her surviving brother Frank Fitz.

“Her boys” and six grandchildren were the center of her life, always giving kind words and unconditional love and affection.

Mary Lee lived a full life with an independent spirit and the innate ability to know she those around her needed a kind touch or word.

We are eternally grateful for the staff and other medical providers at Touchmark Assisted Living Facility in Helena for the constant and individual care that helped us through this difficult time.

Mary Lee was preceded in death by her son Timothy Grimmer, sister Sharon “Jerry” Russell, brothers Mike “Fitzy” Fitzpatrick and Jimmy “Jughead” Fitzpatrick, granddaughter Ramie Grimmer, and grandson Timmy Grimmer.

Mary Lee is survived by her sons Don Grimmer and wife Ginger Casagrande (Helena), Dale Grimmer (Anaconda), and Michael Grimmer (Anaconda), brother Frank Fitzpatrick (Anaconda), sister Patsy Lienhart (Butte), and grandchildren Krysta Vorhies (Anaconda), Cameron Poland (Helena), Colton Meyer (Anaconda), Chase Meyer (Anaconda), and Max Grimmer (Helena).
