Mary Ann Hanson, age 74, passed peacefully from this place to her eternal home June 6, 2020 at the Community Hospital of Anaconda.
Mary Ann was born May 11, 1946 to Mike and Irma (Monaco) Martello in Anaconda, Montana. She was the middle child with two sisters, Marlene and Sandy. The family grew up in a small two-bedroom home on Ash Street where Mary Ann shared one room, one bed with her sisters and two young aunts, Elsie and Florence Monaco.
She married Darryl Ford in June of 1966 and were blessed with three children, Laurie, Mike and Dan. They divorced in 1976 and Mary Ann raised her children while working at Warm Springs State Hospital for several years and then in the business office at the old St. Ann's Hospital then transitioned to the new Anaconda Community Hospital. She also enjoyed working at the Anaconda Thrift Center.
She married LeRoy Hanson on October 5, 1991. They enjoyed trips to Jackpot, family reunions and making outdoor crafts together. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, ceramics, crocheting and cross-stitching baby blankets for her grandchildren.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband LeRoy, sister Sandy Joronen, aunt Florence Bubash and brother-in-law Tony Orrino.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Laurie (David) Stropes, Mike (Keriann) Ford and Dan (Mary Pat) Ford, sister Marlene (Jack) Corrigan, aunt Elsie (Bob) Armstrong, uncle Jim Bubash, sisters-in-law Barb Shaw and Ruth Bloom, and brother-in-law Les Joronen. She has five grandchildren, Troy (Michelle) Ford, Martel (Phil) Shields, Kaitlin Stropes, Kyle (Kadin) Stropes and Connor Ford, and two beautiful great grandchildren, Jaxon and Quincey Ford, plus two more on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mamooch will be greatly missed!

A private family service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church.
