Mary Ellen Connors, born on October 18, 1951, passed away peacefully into God's arms, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and the love of countless family members and friends.
Mary was raised in Anaconda, Montana, where she attended Anaconda Central School and Anaconda High School, graduating with the Class of 1969. She began her career working at Galen Hospital and later at Montana Power in Anaconda. In 1980, Mary moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she continued her career with the Tucson school district, dedicating many years of service to her community.
Although she made Arizona her home, Montana always held a special place in her heart. Mary especially treasured spending summers at Georgetown Lake near Anaconda, where she found peace, joy, and countless happy moments surrounded by family and friends.
Above all else, Mary’s greatest joy was the people she loved. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She valued time spent with loved ones and created lasting memories through laughter, compassion, and unwavering support. Some of her most treasured times were spent in the trips she took to Ireland to visit relatives and explore the beautiful countryside.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched. Her legacy of love, friendship, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother(Marie), father(Pat), brother in laws James Hardy and Ted Allen and great nephew, Patrick Hardy. She is survived by brothers Pat(Joy) Connors, Jack Connors, Joe(Janice) Connors, sisters Sheila Hardy and Karen Allen, sister in law Laura Connors and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on August 15 at St Peters in Anaconda at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who knew Mary to honor her memory by spending time with loved ones and embracing the simple joys of life, just as she did.
