Mary Ameila Coen was born June 27th, 1936, in New Orleans Louisiana.  She passed away February 5th, 2024, in Anaconda Montana surrounded by her family. She was 87 years old.

Mary is survived by her daughter Kathy Motsinger of Anaconda, sons; John and Nancy Baucum of Modesto California and Mark and Jennifer Baucum of Trout Creek Montana. She had 8 grandchildren, Christin and Frank Collins of Anaconda Montana; Brian Reddekopp of Monmouth Oregon; Jesse Davis of Albany Oregon; Josh and Jessica Motsinger of Salem Oregon; Jacob and Christy Motsinger of Mishawaka Indiana; James Wright of Pinesdale Montana; Hollie Kerr of Victor Montana; and James and Deidre Motsinger of Salem Oregon. She had 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by cousins Taylor Cain of Texas; Sandy Decuir of Louisiana; and Brainard Watler of Grand Cayman, along with her best friend Diana Hoxie of Higginsville Missouri.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother Sybil Hurlston, father James Malcom Hurlston and husband Glen Coen.

Mary loved visiting with her granddaughter Christin, plastic canvas, daily calls with her family, and going for drives. She loved football and keeping track of the scores, playing both board games and card games, reading, acquiring model ships and playing puzzles.   She really liked it when her favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs, won a football game.  She will always be remembered by her grandchildren as Momoa.

She had the best smile. No matter how she felt, she would always make you laugh.

Mary worked as a USDA Food Inspector for 18 years. She graduated from Modesto Community College with an Associate Degree in Business.

A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held on Saturday February 10, 2024 at 5pm at the Lolo Community Center, 12345 US-93, Lolo, MT .
