Mary "Lynn" (Browning) Pollock

Anaconda

Lynn Pollock, age 75, of Anaconda passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, after her hard-fought battle with cancer.

Lynn is survived by her daughter Meagan (Bill) Montgomery, sons Sean McNicholas, (Paul Helmuth), and Chris McNicholas. Stepdaughter Lee Ann (Jeff), Smith. Sisters Judy Boyer, Peggy (Bob) Smith, Jan Browning, (Beth Rowe). Brothers Bill (Linda) Browning, Jim (Rosie) Browning. Grandchildren Colin Lyle, Nathan McNicholas, Katie Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Jim Pollock, her parents Marion and Rae Browning, Her brother-in law John Boyer, sister-in law Patsy Detonacour, mother and father-in-law Petra and James J. Pollock.

Lynn was born in Anaconda on Nov. 08, 1946, to Marion and Rae Browning. Lynn attended Catholic schools where she graduated from Central in 1965. She married her first love Greg McNicholas in 1967 and had three children Sean, Chris, and Meagan McNicholas.  Several years after Lynn was widowed, she found love again and married Jim Pollock.  Lynn and Jim were married for 31 happy years before he passed away in 2019 from complications with MS.

Many will remember Lynn as the beautiful smiling cashier who worked for her brother and sister –in- law at Daly’s Grocery. Lynn was an avid reader and enjoyed exchanging books with her sister Peggy Smith. One of Lynn’s favorite hobbies was crocheting.  She made beautiful afghans for all the special people in her life.  Lynn loved to dance and taught her sons and their friends how to properly Jitter Bug.

Lynn will be best remembered at birthdays and holidays where she went above and beyond making everyone feel loved. She loved getting together with her siblings and kids for barbecues and a game of shoes.   Her grandchildren Katie and Ryan Montgomery were the light of life, and they will miss “GMOM” every day.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Followed by a luncheon at the church.
