Marjorie C. Timson

Marjorie C. (Head) Timson passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of rejoicing Sunday on December 14, 2014 after a long and healthy 93 year life. Marjorie was born on August 29, 1921 to Frank and Constance Head in Harrow, England. She often talked of living through the War in Europe and of the bombing of the London area. She married Tom Collins in Harrow, England on June 5, 1943. Her sister, Audrey, served as her bridesmaid. Marjorie and Tom had two children, Anita and Brian. She later married George Timson and moved to his home in Detroit, Michigan. They operated a flooring store in Detroit until George retired in 1981 and they moved to Anaconda where they lived next door to her sister Audrey. Marjorie was active in many organizations in Anaconda including the hospital auxiliary, the women's club and local Red Hat Society. She and her sister Audrey could be counted on to volunteer their time and talents to many of the activities of their clubs. Marjorie also enjoyed visiting with her many friends in the Red hats, the Metcalf Senior Citizens Center and her water aerobics group. She will be sadly missed by many. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Clifford Head, her son Brian Collins and her son-in-law Mick Donoghue. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Anita Donoghue; her sister, friend and neighbor, Audrey Haffey; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Sue Vucasovich, Diane McCarthy and Sue Cahill. In accordance with Marjorie's wishes, she will be cremated and her cremains will be sent to her daughter Anita in Broxbourne, England where she will rest with her deceased family members. Donations in memory of Marjorie can be made to the Metcalf Senior Citizens Center, 115 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Anaconda, MT 59711.
