Marjorie E. Storey Ball

Marjorie Storey Ball, 89, Anaconda, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, at St. James Healthcare, Butte. Marjorie was born on August 28, 1924 to William and Johanna Mellen in Superior, Montana. She graduated from Powell County High School in Deer Lodge. She married John Storey in February of 1941 in California. They had five children and then later divorced. Marjorie married Frank Ball in 2004 and he later died. Marjorie was employed as a Nurses Aide at Warm Springs State Hospital for 20 years. She was famous for her home cooked meals, especially the "pot pie fire of 1955." She had many hobbies, among them sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She loved to visit with people and was very social. Marjorie resided at Colonial Manor in Deer lodge for the last four years. Marjorie's pride and joy in life was her five children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her five children; John (Dolly) Storey, of Spirit Lake, Idaho, Eileen (Otto) Dill, of Anaconda, Betty Ann (Don) Ricci, of Spokane, Wash., Tim Storey, of Deer Lodge, and Tom (Carmen) Storey, of Pueblo West, CO., her six grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrea, Leanne, Sarah, Jacob, and Katie, and 6 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Storey, and one brother Hugh Mellen. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Anaconda on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church with the Rosary being led at 9:30 a.m.
