Marian Green
  Wife, Mother, Grandma, Friend
On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, Marian Green went to join her brothers and sisters in the communion of saints. Marian passed peacefully. Marian was born August 23, 1931 to George and Mary (Laslovich) Hess. Marian attended St. Peter's School, and graduated from Anaconda Central. Marian met Allen (Babe) Green and they married on June 11, 1955 in St. Peters Church. Babe and Marian celebrated life daily through hard work, determination and through their gift of a large family. After raising 6 children, Marian began working as a cook for the Anaconda Schools.
Marian had many pleasures in life. Marian took great pride in her home which she and Babe built. She looked forward to their yearly trips to Jackpot and Vegas. She especially enjoyed spending time with family having picnics in Washoe Park and the family's annual trip to Swan Lake. However, Marian's greatest love was watching sports. She and Babe spent many years supporting their 6 children and 14 grandchildren through their next "season." When she wasn't watching her "own" she was watching sports on television, not a Sunday afternoon passed without the NFL, PGA, or NBA.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty Wyant, her three brothers George, Bobby, and Ray Hess and his wife Mary Beth, and Marian's special friend Anabelle Sladich.
Survivors include her husband Babe, her sons Allen (Stephanie) Green, Richard (Nicole) Green, and Ken Green. Daughters Sheila (Buster) Riley, Barbara (Jerry) Mee, Ann Marie (Bob) Morani, and sister-in-law Mary Hess.
Marian leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Melinda (Riley) Reynolds and Brian Riley, Chad and Chelsea Galle, Courtney Moodry, Teryn and Jade Green, Maggie and Matthew Green, Jim and Jackie Mee, Nicole, Ryan and Emily Morani. Her 4 great grandchildren Riley and Madison Reynolds, Wes Riley, and Rylan Clark.
Funeral Mass for Marian will be celebrated at St. Peters Catholic Church, Friday afternoon, March 21, 2014 at 2:00. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date with her nephew Father Stephen Hess conducting the service.
Memorials in Marian's name can be made to the Marybeth Hess Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Anaconda Community Hospital, 401 W. Pennsylvania, or the Washoe Park Foundation, PO Box 1139.
