Margaret Huestis

April 17, 1949 — July 23, 2013

On Tuesday, July 23, 2013 heaven took Margaret after a very hard fought battle with breast cancer. Who knew that when that beautiful baby girl was born to James and Helen Patterson sixty-four years ago that she was eventually going to become such a wonderful wife, friend, mother, and grandmother. As a girl she grew up in Opportunity, attended Beaverdam School, graduated from Anaconda High School in 1967, and then graduated from Butte Business College. She then went to work at the Anaconda Smelter where she met and fell in love with her husband Bill. They were married just one day short of forty two years. Together they had three children, Jennifer, Bill, and Mike. Margaret was such a devoted mom. She never missed a school program--you could find her sitting in the front row everytime. She chaperoned every field trip, she never missed a baseball game, she loved to play cards with us for hours, and when we were sick, she never left our side. Then there were her grandchildren. She loved every one of them so much and she was so proud of them all. Even at her sickest she was always there. Margaret was a stay at home mom until we were older, then she began working at the Haufbrau. She also worked at the Park Cafe, she ran the store at the Anaconda Job Corp, and finally she retired from the Copper Bowl. She left behind so many peope that will miss her so much especially her husband Bill and her son Mike whom she was especially close to. No two people could understand each other as well as they did. She is also survived by Mike's wife Jennifer and their children Tristin, Savannah, Eyan, and Caleib. Her daughter Jennifer and her children Haggin and Melissa; and her son and daugher-in-law Bill and Belinda and their children Angel, William, Ashley, Jessica, Tyler, Sara, and Megan. She also leaves behind her sister Patsy and her nephews Doug and Tim. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private memorial for the family. "Rainbow Bridge There is a bridge It is called the Rainbow Bridge. It is where your loved ones in Heaven wait for you. Shortly before you passed you saw a loved one pacing back and forth. I know she was waiting for you, saying "hurry up, I miss you." One day I am coming to the Rainbow Bridge because I promised I would never leave you, And I know you will be there waiting for me. I love you Mom.
