Lori Hess

September 19, 1959 — January 14, 2017

Lori Hess, 57 passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Anaconda after a short illness. Lori was born September 19, 1959 in Anaconda to Matt and Carol Strizich. She graduated from Anaconda High, and went on to get a degree in social services where she worked and donated most of her adult life to counseling disadvantaged children. Lori served and supported the Anaconda community and had a very soft heart for families who were down on their luck, and in many cases sheltered them until they got back on their feet. Lori will now join her father Matt in heaven, and is survived by her mother Carol, Dan Hess, daughters Gayla, and Dani, Dani's husband Zach and most recent blessing, granddaughter Yara Rose. She had five siblings: - Bud and Janet Strizich of Billings, Dan and Mae Strizich; Chatsworth, CA. Jean and Pat Manning; Houston, TX, Mike and Caroline Strizich; Albuquerque, NM and Tony and Daisy Strizich; Newbury Park CA. The family requests memorials to be made to the Anaconda Discovery House to help continue Lori's work in the community. Donations to Discovery house can be dropped off or sent to 65 Sheep Gulch Road, Anaconda MT 59711. Mass of Christian Burial for Lori Hess will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Anaconda. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 18th at 5:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, with the Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. and the Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. and there will be one hour of visitation prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
